Beacon of Light
For over 25 years, Beacon of Light has been guiding youth in Orange County, reaching over 100,000 students with prevention-focused education on risky sexual behaviors. While much of the sexual health education curriculum in public schools—often provided by Planned Parenthood—contains layers of over-sexualized content and lessons, we are proud to offer a fact-based, state-compliant alternative. Our ‘Check the Facts’ curriculum tackles tough topics while empowering students to make life-affirming choices.

MAVEN
The culture is speaking to our kids. Every. Single. Day.
Gender identity. Homosexuality. Porn. Casual sex. Consumerism. Affluence. Substance abuse. Social media. Entertainment. Racial tension. Secularism. Most youth are NOT ready for these conversations.
How can our youth be salt and light in this hostile secular culture? By knowing and proclaiming God’s truth, pursuing and living out His goodness and creating beauty that points back to Jesus.
Help raise up a new up a new generation of confident and courageous Christ-followers.

Strong Families – Olive Crest
Many families in our community find themselves in crisis with no safety net, no extended family and nowhere to turn. Our Strong Families team works in partnership with Olive Crest to help serve vulnerable children and families. We do this in a variety of ways: 1) Strong Families Hosts are church members who volunteer to open their homes to children on a short-term basis by giving them a safe, loving place to live while their parents work through their crisis. 2) Foster Families provide longer-term hosting for children. We are also partnered with “The Cottages” (2 foster homes that are for larger sibling sets who are in Foster Care so that the siblings get to stay together), and we support these families with monthly meals and monthly “Art & Play” dates so that the foster parents get a much-needed break. 3) “Family Friends” support the host & foster families in various ways – meals, transportation support, babysitting, errands, donations like diapers, formula, clothing, or gift cards. When you support Strong Families, you join in an innovative collaboration between Olive Crest, the church, volunteers, and childcare professionals to bolster at-risk children and parents in need. It takes all of us to answer the call.

Teen Leadership Foundation
Youth in the foster care system are some of the most vulnerable members of our country. Most face uncertain futures, with limited support, unstable housing, and few opportunities to build the skills they need to thrive. Teen Leadership Foundation works to change that by providing housing stability, life skills workshops, and mentoring to help youth transition successfully into adulthood.
Housing Stability: Prepares transitional age youth for fulling and sustaining futures through wrap around services.
Life Skill Workshops: Connecting youth with employment readiness, financial literacy and healthy relationship workshops through volunteer facilitators.
Mentoring: Through one-on-one mentoring you create a strong voice and provide a consistent stable adult figure in a youth’s life.
By supporting Teen Leadership Foundation, you help create a network of care and opportunity that empowers youth to overcome challenges, gain independence, and build fulfilling, sustainable lives. Together, we can give young adults the tools, guidance, and stability they need to succeed.

Watts Powerhouse Church
Powerhouse Church is located in the projects of Watts. It is a beacon of light and hope to 100’s of families in need. We hope to partner with them to serve meals while they learn about the hope we have in Jesus. While it is only a 40 minute drive, the people who live in the projects live very different lives than we do. We hope to help them hire workers from the community to serve the church, as well as provide supplies for the children.
