As we mentioned on Sunday, these challenging times present us with a fresh opportunity to love our neighbors well. Many of you have shared about the ways you’ve been engaging your neighbors lately, and we wanted to share an idea from one of our own members. Here is a simple three-word rhyme to help you engage in your neighborhood: prayer, care, share.
- Prayer: Pray for neighbors by name or walk your street and pray for neighbors as you pass by their homes
- Care: Find simple ways to care for them—groceries, notes, ask them what they need, etc.
- Share: Share Jesus with them. This does not need to be fancy and can simply be sharing how your faith has helped you through this challenging time. People are looking for answers right now and are open to engaging in spiritual conversations, so ask them questions and be willing to share your own thoughts and story.
