As Christians, we're all in process. That means there is an "already/not yet" quality to our lives. The values stated below are who we believe God is calling us to be. In some ways we already embody these values, and in other ways we have a lot of growing to do. In either case these are our longings as we seek God together, trusting Him to make us into the people He wants us to be.
We seek to extol the highest view of God and to live all of life out of a grateful response to His love and grace in our lives. We value authentic worship, and we resist the temptation to earn God's favor through our accomplishments or even our religious behavior, affirming that God rescued us while we were sinners.
We courageously pursue the full truth of who God is and what His purposes are through an accurate understanding of Scripture. Our pursuit may lead us to affirm truths that are culturally unpopular, yet we understand that everyone is in process in this pursuit, and we welcome people along the journey.
We have been called into a transforming and obedient relationship with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. We are committed to following Jesus and surrendering our lives to him daily, in order that we might know him better and live our lives the way he has taught us.
We seek to thoughtfully and proactively care for one another as we walk through life together. In an increasingly individualistic culture, we believe wholeness is best pursued within the context of loving relationships that foster trust, vulnerability and encouragement.
We seek to give a living testimony of our hope to the world in which God has placed us. Our witness includes our common life together, our loving service within the community and our proclamation of Biblical truth to the community.
We seek to prepare and empower our church members for works of service so that we all may be built up in faith, love and maturity as God has gifted each member. We believe that the responsibility of equipping the body is best shared among leaders who depend on the Holy Spirit to build up His church as He sees fit.
