7/10/20 – In this passage, Jesus encounters a non-Jewish Samaritan woman at a well. At this time, it would be unheard of for a Jewish man to approach a woman like this, someone seen as inferior and even dangerous because of her ethnic background and differing religious beliefs. Jesus cuts through the racial and cultural divide to care for this woman as he offers what he calls “living water”. That is, by trusting and following Jesus she would receive the everlasting love that God freely offers and true satisfying LIFE
