Jesus Film Movement of Grace
From April till June, Grace is participating in a MOVEMENT OF GRACE to help reach 60,000 people for the Gospel among the Takia language in Papua New Guinea (40k) and the Piapoko speakers among the mountainous border region of Colombia and Venezuela (20k).
Grace is helping fund the Jesus Film to be translated into each language. Each language is a single voice narration of the film and costs $17 thousand. Grace has set aside 10k towards the first language, and so a total of 24k needs to be raised to reach 60,000 people with the Gospel.
What is the Jesus Film? The Jesus Film is a movie based on the Gospel of Luke that has been translated into over 1,750 languages and in 2018 alone was streamed 149,905,189 times. It is a powerful ministry tool that is being used all over the world in the most remote places with people that have never heard about Jesus.
Will you join us as we look to help fulfill these need of sharing the Gospel among all nations? May we be blessed as we become footnotes in their salvation stories.
Takia and Piapoko
Come around a table with your friends and/or family to have a guided conversation about The Gospel, The Great Commission, and the Takia and Piapoko people. Handouts will be given out at the Sunday service and emailed as well.
May 19th - Stories and Giving
After each service, Terry and Teri Gundlach will be on the patio with pictures of their recent trip to Peru with the Jesus Film. Please stop by to hear stories and drop off a check (or give online) to help fund two Jesus Film languages.
June 2th - Giving by numbers
Hear the progress we’ve made on reaching out financial goals and more about the project. There will be a direct ask that morning to give along with a special token of appreciation for those that participate.
Grace is partnering with another church in our area to help with Saturate (www.saturateusa.org). Grace is looking to help pack bags and pass them out door-to-door to spread the Good News. If you are interested, please contact Lara Mellema. Packing will take place on Friday the 7th (6 pm) and distribution will take a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon on the 9th from 1:30-3:30. See more on the events page for each, click the link in the title.
Join us on the Grace patio for a party to celebrate the completion of the two languages! Hear more stories of people who have used the film and seen fruit as well as a special concert from our much loved Tim Timmons out from Nashville, Tennessee. The party starts at 5 pm and there will be food trucks.
