Axios is weekly men's discipleship series which meets as small groups on Friday mornings from 7:00 to 8:15 throughout the school year (September 14 - June 7).
In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus he said, “I beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.” The Greek word Paul uses for the word, 'worthy' is ‘axios’, a word picture signifying a congruence between our God given calling and the way we actually live our lives.
This is the vision for the Axios discipleship ministry. To provide a context for biblical study that will help men faithfully live out thier God given calling. This year Axios will be studying the book of James along with insights from commentators and teachers to help unearth greater levels of understanding of the text. Each lesson will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in foundational biblical truths, through independent study during the week, culminating in small group discussions each Friday morning. Group discussions will be centered around a set of questions intended to encourage you to lean into the truths you’ve encountered and consider their application to your life.
