About Us

Our Values

Treasuring God Above All Else

God is the greatest treasure in the universe. Therefore, we seek to treasure Him in our hearts and minds, and we seek to make daily decisions that reflect what a treasure He is to us. We acknowledge that other worldly treasures constantly compete for our attention and affection, so we encourage one another to pursue God first and foremost. (Mt. 6:33, Mt. 22:37)

Grounded in God’s Word and Prayer

God’s Word and prayer anchor us in God’s truth in the midst of a culture that constantly threatens to blow us off course. Therefore, we ground our corporate times together in faithful, expository Bible teaching and prayer, and we ground our lives as individuals in regular Bible meditation and prayer. (Ps. 1:1-3, Eph. 6:17-18)

Loving One Another as God’s Family

Before God’s church is an organization or an institution, it is a family. Therefore, we seek to love one another as family members in sacrificial ways, seeing Jesus’ love for us as the great example. We value relationships over programs, and we seek to create natural opportunities to connect with and care for each other. (Jn. 15:12-13, Phil. 2:3-5)

Growing Into Mature Followers of Jesus

Growth in Christ-like maturity is God’s goal for each one of us. Therefore, we seek to move our people from being simply church-goers to being active followers of Jesus who are learning to obey Him in all areas of life. We are less concerned with growth in programs or numbers than we are with the spiritual growth of our people. (Eph. 4:13-15, Titus 2:11-14)

Equipping Every Member For Ministry

Building up the Body of Christ is the responsibility of every member of our church family. Therefore, we encourage each other to move out of a passive “consumer Christianity” into an active engagement in the life of the church. We seek to equip our members in holistic ways so that they can faithfully use their gifts to encourage each other. (Ro. 12:4-8, Eph. 4:11-16)

Sharing the Gospel With Our World

The gospel is God’s good news for the world. Therefore, we want to joyfully and courageously share this good news with the world, beginning in our daily contexts and extending to wherever God may lead us. As we share the gospel through our words and actions, we trust the Spirit to do the spiritual work in people’s hearts as He sees fit. (Mt. 28:18-20, Acts 1:7-8)

Grace in Our Lives

Our fundamental conviction is that God’s grace has been poured out on us in ways that we do not deserve and can never repay. The gospel is truly good news! Included in this good news are these core realities:

God’s Saving Grace

God’s gift of salvation is received by grace through faith. It is God’s free gift to us that cannot be earned in any way and is simply received by faith.

Christ’s Sacrificial Death

God’s Son, Jesus Christ, died for our sins and bodily rose from the dead. Through faith in His death and resurrection, we receive complete forgiveness and total reconciliation with God.

The Gift of the Spirit

God gives His Holy Spirit to His people. The Holy Spirit gives us new spiritual life, guides us daily, and empowers us to live as God desires.

The Hope of Glory

At Christ’s return we will receive resurrection bodies and spend eternity with Him in the new heavens and new earth. This is our great and final hope.

Our Response To Grace

In response to God’s grace, we seek to live according to the following values. While we have a lot of growing to do, these values represent who we hope to be and who we trust we are becoming by God’s grace.
