"With Jesus’ help, let us continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the glory of his name. Don’t forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to God.” -- Hebrews 13:15-16
Outreach at Grace is about looking beyond our own interests and territory with a heart for the poor, needy and the spiritually lost, as ambassadors of Christ. Grace provides the following local and international outreach opportunities:
We hope you are being encouraged and challenged by our current sermon series, “Floodlight.” Our hope for this series is that we all would be “freed up” to courageously and joyfully share the gospel with the people God has placed in our lives. While it is important to share the gospel in both word and deed, the focus of this series is on sharing the gospel in word—that is, actually opening our mouths and talking to people about the love of Christ. Since our focus on Sundays will be on sharing the gospel in word, we wanted to post a blog that also acknowledges the important role of our good works in the sharing of the gospel and helps us understand how those good works fit into an overall biblical understanding of evangelism. So, we’ve included an abbreviated chapter of “What Is the Mission of the Church,” by Deyoung & Gilbert, which succinctly explains the value of good works in light of our Gospel mission. We trust you will find this an encouragement . . . Click on the title of this blog to read more.
