The Worship Team: The Worship Team consists of both The Bands and The Audio/Visual Technicians.

The Bands: The Bands are comprised of musicians (instrumentalists and vocalists) who use their skills to lead the students of OVERFLOW in musical worship of God.

The Audio/Visual Technicians: The A/V Technicians are students who use their skills on the computer and the sound board to facilitate the smooth flow of the service.

Joining The Worship Team: All members of the worship team will need to signup online, show up for an audition/interview, and submit a completed Expectations & Guidelines form (The E.G.).

Come prepared to dialogue on the following questions:

Why do you want to be on Worship Team, specifically A/V?

What are your outside commitments?

What is your experience and skill level with computers and A/V equipment?

Do you feel like you have an ear for music?

1. What is the commitment for being on worship team?

If you are chosen for next year's worship team, you will be assigned one Sunday team a month and you will have the option to be assigned to one Wednesday team a month as well. For example, you might be on the 1st Sunday HS team, meaning you would be expected to serve on the 1st Sunday of every month from September to June. (Summer will be a little different.) When you play on a Sunday you will be there from 8am-12:45pm. When you play on a Wednesday you will be there from 5:45pm-9:15pm. There are also three mandatory workshops throughout the year for everyone: one in September, one in January, and one in April. There will also be two mandatory A/V trainings over the summer and three band trainings over the summer.

2. Do I have to be a Christian to be on worship team?

Yes, we want you to have a daily growing personal relationship with Christ. (Please talk to us if you are unsure what that looks like.)

3. Why would I not make the team?

We want people who will be committed to this team. You would not make the team if you are not willing to sign the E.G., if you do not put any effort into learning your audition song, or if you are disrespectful at your interview.

4. How can I learn the songs?

Use the attached music and linked videos to start. There are also many helpful YouTube tutorials.

You can also ask C.J. for help.
