Each year Hume picks a different theme and this year's theme is perfect to piece the hearts of all of our students. The theme is still TBA...we will keep you posted. All I know is it will be epic!
Summer Camp Theme:
The Bible tells us that God is sufficient. That is easy to believe, but it's a constant challenge to put that belief into action Even when God's sufficiency has been magnificiently displayed, we still tend to reject or forget it. This struggle is illuminated by the story of the Israelites as they literally followed the visible presence of God out of Egypt, yet still rejected, replaced, and simply forgot His provision and guidance. This summer we will reflect on God's sufficiency in spite of our wavering faith as we join the Phantastical Journey of the Wandering Lites.
Theme Verse:
Exodus 6:7-8: "I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. And I will bring you to the land I swore with uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. I will give it to you a sa possession. I am the LORD."
