01.29.12 - Foundation of Living (Deuteronomy7:7-9)

OVERFLOW is in the second week of our series from the book of Deuteronomy. In this lesson, we learned that God is faithful in keeping his promises and we spent time reflecting on how God has been faithful to us in the past. We encouraged each other to embrace the strength this gives us to both live in the present and plan for the future. It was a great lesson and time of study.

If you’d like to keep the discussion going this week, consider using these questions in conversation with others—or when the entire family is together:

• Can you think about specific circumstances in the past when God displayed faithfulness to our family?

• What are some examples from the Bible of God’s faithfulness to someone in a trying or difficult time?

• How do biblical accounts of God’s faithfulness help us count on God in our lives?

I also want to encourage all of you to put this weeks teaching into action by memorizing the VoftheW,  following the Weekly Reading, and/or doing this weeks C2A.
