Our group is continuing forward in our six-week journey through the New Testament book of John.

Over the next six weeks, we will be going to examine the life of Jesus through the eyes of one of his disciples, John.

I have enjoyed immensely our time in Mission Month. This past Sunday was Week 5 and wrapped up our Floodlight series. Our hope, is that through this series you have found yourselves, as a family, more equipped to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with others.

This was week four in our Missions series called “FLOODLIGHT: Sharing the Gospel.” As we walk through this together, would missions become our lifestyle and not just what we talk about one month a year.

On Sunday you may have received the "Thoughts on Life" handout.   The challenge this week is to strike up a conversation and ask non-believers some, if not all, of the questions below.  It's up to you how you use this, but the purpose of the handout is to move us out of our comfort zones into conversations where we talk about the Gospel.   The questions will reveal a lot about a person and it is important to validate their experiences.  These questions remove you from the driver's seat and allow you to join in their spiritual journey.   Sunday we learned the power of the Gospel shared, after you have asked these questions, ask them if you can share YOUR story and feel the freedom to shine a FloodLight on Jesus.

"Thoughts on Life"

1. What's one thing you haven't done that you want to make sure you do in your lifetime?
2. What do you want most out of life? How do you think you will obtain it?
3. What is an event that has influenced your life greatly and why did it do so?
4. What do you think is the purpose of life?
5. What do you think happens when a person dies?
6. What is your spiritual history? (i.e. church or religious background)
7. At this point in your life, where do you see yourself in your spiritual journey?
8. On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your desire to have a relationship with God?
9. If one of your best friends came to you and asked, "How can I become a Christian?", what would you tell them? (Or you can ask, "How can I have a right relationship with God?")
10. If heaven required an entrance exam and God asked you, "Why should I let you in?", what would you say?

End with, "May I share "my story" with you? My spiritual journey?"
