01.29.12 - Foundation of Living (Deuteronomy7:7-9)

OVERFLOW is in the second week of our series from the book of Deuteronomy. In this lesson, we learned that God is faithful in keeping his promises and we spent time reflecting on how God has been faithful to us in the past.  We encouraged each other to embrace the strength this gives us to both live in the present and plan for the future. It was a great lesson and time of study.

01.25.12 - God-Focused Living (Deuteronomy 6:4-9)

OVERFLOW has begun a four-week study on the book of Deuteronomy, and we launched this series with a lesson built on Deuteronomy 6:4-9, where Moses urged the people of Israel to love God with all their heart, soul, and strength. We discussed what it meant to lead a God-centered life, and challenged our group to commit to living this way.

01.08.12 - Exodus 34: Life Change (A Glowing Moses)

OVERFLOW wrapped up the final lesson in our four-week series on the book of Exodus by looking at the incredible story of how Moses’ face shone with radiant light after being in the presence of God. I challenged our group to live in such a way that our lives would shine brightly for Christ, and I talked about the truth that the more time we spend with God, the more change and transformation we see in our lives.

12.18.11 - Exodus 20: Actions Speak Loudly (The 10 Commandments)

We’re nearing the end of our four-lesson series on the book of Exodus, and this week we examined the Ten Commandments. We saw how the Ten Commandments offer a glimpse into God’s character and help us lead lives of health and wholeness; in other words, they aren’t just a list of rules.

12.11.11 - Exodus 13: Looking Back (Remembering God's Deliverance)

This week, we are spending time recalling moments when God has worked in our lives. We are studying the second lesson in our series from the book of Exodus, a lesson that's looking at how the Israelites made it a point to remember God’s hand in delivering them from slavery in Egypt. They praised God because of this intervention in their lives. This week I want to challenged all of us to follow that pattern and praise God for how he has worked in their lives, too.
